GeM seller registration.
Prepare information for seller onboarding to the government marketplace.
The right support.
With the details in view.
GeM onboarding establishes a seller profile for government procurement. The authorised person, business identity and registration data must be consistent, while product listing, category approval, bids and order execution remain separate stages. A registered seller is not guaranteed contracts or qualification for every procurement category.
First, establish what applies
IEC requirements differ for goods and services, with specific exemptions. Recognition, procurement registrations and ISO certification do not replace tax or industry approvals.
What the scoped work can cover
- Seller eligibility and prerequisite review
- Authorised onboarding preparation
- Category and listing next-step checklist
The documents.
A clearer starting point.
Use this as a preparation list for the initial review. The final checklist is confirmed against the applicant, service route, location and current authority requirements.
- 01
Authorised person and entity identity details required by the current GeM route
- 02
Business PAN, constitution and registration information
- 03
Registered business address, contact and bank account details
- 04
Tax, turnover and recognition records where applicable to the seller profile
- 05
Product or service category, brand and authorisation evidence for intended listings
Share sensitive records only through an agreed secure channel after the engagement is confirmed. Do not send passwords, OTPs or signing keys.
One step.
Then the next.
A clear sequence, with room to resolve the details that are specific to your business.
- 01
Review the seller profile
Assess the business type, authorised applicant and intended procurement categories.
- 02
Reconcile prerequisites
Match entity, bank, tax and recognition records with the current platform requirements.
- 03
Guide authorised onboarding
Organise the information for the authorised person’s registration and required verification.
- 04
Plan the next platform steps
Identify category, listing and procurement-specific evidence separately from basic registration.
Scope, fees and timing are agreed after review. Document readiness, professional review and any authority queries affect the schedule. Statutory charges, testing, execution and other third-party costs are identified where relevant.
Keep the next

Useful answers.
01Does GeM registration guarantee an order?+

02Can anyone register on behalf of the business?+
The registration should be completed by the appropriately authorised person using the platform’s required verification route.
03Is a seller profile enough to list every product?+
No. Brand, category, OEM or authorisation evidence and product-specific requirements may need further review.
