ESI registration & contributions.

Review establishment and employee coverage before organising registrations and payments.

Scope before commitment Requirements explained
01 / THE BIG PICTURE

The right support.
With the details in view.

ESI work connects establishment coverage with employee eligibility, registration information and contribution records. The assessment considers current social security provisions, notified coverage and the workforce actually employed. Registration, insured-person details and recurring payment obligations should be handled as a connected process.

First, establish what applies

Coverage depends on the establishment, employee count, wages, location and current labour provisions. State registrations and professional tax are not uniform across India.

What the scoped work can cover

  • Employer and employee coverage assessment
  • Registration or correction document checklist
  • Contribution workings and reconciliation records
02 / GET READY

The documents.
A clearer starting point.

Use this as a preparation list for the initial review. The final checklist is confirmed against the applicant, service route, location and current authority requirements.

  1. 01

Entity, PAN, establishment address, ownership and signatory information

  2. 02

Establishment activity, operating locations and commencement details

  3. 03

Employee count, joining dates, wage registers and payroll records

  4. 04

Existing employer code and insured-person numbers where available

  5. 05

Previous contribution records and relevant contractor deployment details

Share sensitive records only through an agreed secure channel after the engagement is confirmed. Do not send passwords, OTPs or signing keys.

03 / HOW IT MOVES FORWARD

One step.
Then the next.

A clear sequence, with room to resolve the details that are specific to your business.

  1. 01

    Review establishment coverage

Check current provisions and the establishment’s activity and locations.

  2. 02

    Check employee eligibility

Review wages, joining details and existing insurance records without assuming universal coverage.

  3. 03

    Prepare registration or updates

Organise the employer and insured-person data needed for the applicable portal steps.

  4. 04

    Reconcile contribution records

Prepare agreed contribution workings and match payment evidence with payroll.

Scope, fees and timing are agreed after review. Document readiness, professional review and any authority queries affect the schedule. Statutory charges, testing, execution and other third-party costs are identified where relevant.

04 / BEYOND THIS STEP

Keep the next
responsibility in view.

Keep insured-person details current and reconcile covered wages, contributions, joiners and leavers with the employer’s payroll records.

Explore obligations beyond your core business
05 / A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Good questions.
Useful answers.

01Is an employer code enough?+

No. A code does not establish that employee records, contributions and other continuing duties have been completed.

02Does the same coverage test apply everywhere?+

Coverage must be assessed against current provisions, the establishment and applicable notifications. Do not rely only on an old numeric threshold.

03Can employee information be corrected?+

Review the discrepancy and supporting records, then use the applicable correction route while retaining the change history.
